What is a sales cycle and why it should matter to you?

What is a sales cycle and why it should matter to you?

The stores has a fairly set schedule when they run things on sale. This is called a rotational sales cycle. Each store is different but about every 6 to 12 weeks the sales cycle repeats. They do this to rotate stock that is on the shelf. they will put it on sale and people will buy it thus clearing out the older stock and making room for the new stuff. The ideal thing you want to do is to buy up (while on sale) what your family will need until the next sales cycle. That way you are always getting the best price. Even better if you have coupons to use. Keep in mind, you want to buy that product at thr rock bottom lowest price it will ever be. You will learn the cycle you just have to make note of when the items you use are at their lowest and watch for that again in a few weeks. This is something I can't do for you as each area of the state and each store is different. you will need to watch for this on your own. Just keep a notebook. start each week and write down the price of just one or 2 items. you will see a pattern as you watch for the prices. then when you see when this item goes on sale pick out another 2 items. Just take baby steps. Don't ry to do 12 items at a time it will overwhelm you.
There is also another sales cycle. It is called a seasonal sales cycle. There are certain times a year when certain things go on sale. Like in Janurary around the super bowl snack items go on sale, around Thanksgiving baking items and turkeys go on sale. I will be making a list of the yearly sales cycle and a list of the lowest price of items. Go by this price list and when that item gets close to this price that is when you want to buy it. When combining sales cycles and coupons you can save up to 72% off.
Just starting out you will have things you need that won't be on sale. I do that too. But the things you know you will use, ceral, toilet paper etc. you want to eventually get a stockpile built up and buy those items only when they go on sale. It will take awhile but if you stick with it and don't get burn out or discouraged you will get there. If you start to feel that way take a few weeks off. there is no right or wrong way, you find what works best for you.
I will get the lowest price and seasonal lilsts up as soon as I can. I will do it in file form so you can either save it to your computer or print it.
